Meet Stephanie
Psychotherapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
The healing journey can be like the tide coming in. At times the water recedes, leaving shells and debris—habits and memories—to be collected and examined. But the healing tide pushes forward ever further, ultimately creating a new and fulfilling landscape we could hardly have imagined.
As a guide and witness to the journey, I have 9 years of experience successfully working with adults, teens, and children ages 6 and up, treating trauma, dysregulation, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, grief, and more.
I am trained in EMDR and have received advanced training in EMDR for children and EMDR with sandtray, as well as extensive training in trauma-informed care. I'm passionate about providing gender-affirming care and a safe space for identity exploration. My primary therapeutic modalities are client-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, DBT-informed, parts work/IFS-informed, Child-Centered Play Therapy, somatic, and existential. Or, one might just say eclectic. Each client is different, so each client gets a little different therapy.
People often describe me as warm and gentle but direct; I'm told I have a calming presence. And with clients of all ages, I like to be playful when the time is right. Please contact me for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
Why Choose Psychotherapy?
It can help with

Trauma Recovery
I specialize in providing effective treatment for trauma survivors, particularly those with early childhood emotional wounds and neglect. I use a combination of EMDR and IFS-informed parts work.
Emotional Regulation
I incorporate lots of coping skills and meditation psychoeducation, and as much in-session practice as you'd like.
Child Play Therapy
I specialize in Child-Centered Play Therapy, which is nondirective as it harnesses the universal language of children: play. Throughout, we practice coping skills while I teach and model core Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills.

Adolescents
In short: I love working with adolescents.
Please know that if your child is 15 or older, they will need to consent to their own therapy. This is a good thing, because it creates the safe space they need.
Identity
I provide gender-affirming care and hold space for those exploring gender identity and expression.
Self-Exploration
My therapy encourages self-exploration and personal growth, empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives on their own terms.
